He was stupid enough to have done it when he was gone, because he had nothing to prove. Who was he going to give the national leadership to? There was no one in Ratu Mara's calibre that can Doctor national law and political direction. Ratu Mara is an imperialist, something like the colonial ruler's policies of divide and rule. To ensure that he had monopoly control of the FIJIAN political direction and becoming the President, he instigated the 1987 COUP and declared Fiji to be a republic so that he can become its forever President, he initiated the Fijian Association Party with his son Finau.

(NewsTarget) Can you imagine the outcry if Heath Ledger's body was found next to a pile of Chinese herbs? The media outcry would be deafening, and nearly everyone would leap to the conclusion that the herbs must have killed Ledger. But when Ledger's body is found next to bottles of FDA-approved pharmaceuticals, there's hardly even a whisper about the deadly side effects of such pharmaceuticals (and the likelihood that Ledger was, indeed, killed by FDA-approved medicines).
The mainstream media is wearing blinders when it comes to accurately reporting stories involving pharmaceuticals. The silly presumption is that all pharmaceuticals are safe. They were approved by the FDA, weren't they? And yet FDA-approved pharmaceuticals kill twice as many Americans each year as the entire Vietnam War.

Loonie drops below 97 cents
The loonie tumbled to a four-month low below 97 cents (U.S.) Monday as traders looked past Tuesday's widely expected interest rate cut to how a severely a U.S. economic slowdown would affect Canada. "The idea that the global economy is decoupling from the U.S. slowdown is lying in ashes as you watch what is going on in global equity markets," David Watt, senior currency analyst for RBC Dominion Securities, said in an interview. The Canadian dollar fell 0.52 of a cent to 96.81 cents on Monday, its lowest level since at least the middle of September. The loonie, a star performer on the global currency stage in 2007, has taken a large hit since cresting at a record $1.10 in November. The diminished appetite for the Canadian dollar is being driven by the same issue that is walloping equity markets: concern the U.S.
