Elyssa Jacobs, a freshman at Rockwall-Heath High School, details how an organ donor saved her life 14 years ago along with her mother, Edie."We ask the students if they could save a life, would they," Edie said. "We want them to learn the facts about organ donation."Elyssa is a donor program success story. She was on the donor list for just a week before receiving her transplant, but her doctors said she wouldn't have lasted two more days without the transplant."I caught a disease and it caused my body to attack my heart," she said. "It was killing the muscle in my heart."Edie indicates her daughter was lucky. She says 7,000 people are on the organ donor list in Texas and each day 17 of those on the list will die because organs are not available.

Police grab $55m in gang assets

Philip: Bryan, congratulations! A lot of our viewers and forum members are pleased with the announcement from Lucasfilm that there is to be a new prop replica company continuing Star Wars products, and that you are involved. Can you tell us a little of how that came about?
Bryan: First, I would like to thank everyone for their kind support and confidence in eFX simply based on the assumptions that I was involved. Larry, Barry and I are very proud that Lucasfilm chose eFX and our network of resources and manufacturers to continue the prop replica category.
As many of you already know, Larry, Barry and I have a deep passion for Star Wars. Hopefully the consumers saw this in the products that we have worked on previously.
