I go paintballing every weekend and love shooting my mates and we start fires in the woods to keep us warm, but I'd never start a fire in a park or bus shelter or go around hurting people who don't want to be hurt! I have respect for people and their property. It's the way I've been brought up. The police need to demand respect, they need the yobs to fear for their lives if they're confronted with a police officer, there's only one way this will happen. A blind eye should be turned if a police officer roughs up a yob because he's been cheeking an officer or abusing the public. If I'd have been caught by the officer who chased me then I would have expected a bit of harsh treatment. If you do nothing wrong, you won't get beaten up by a police officer and if you do, by some mistake, then it's a shame, but it's not a perfect world.
Lawrence fire: How to help
Members of the Manchester, N.H., chapter of the Boston College Club were collecting coats and clothes for the evacuees. The club helped 26 families left homeless by a five-alarm fire on Lake Avenue in Manchester on Jan. 17. Now, they're ready to help out Lawrence.Pronto Pizza and Sal's Pizza donated dozens of pizzas to feed the firefighters and police officers. Burtons Grill in North Andover sent sandwiches, cheeseburgers, french fries, soups and salads. Area Dunkin' Donuts sent countless boxes of Joe and cups, doughnuts and munchkins.Anonymous good Samaritans dropped off boxes of doughnuts and pastries in a large camper police and firefighters used as a command post. Food also was dropped off at the makeshift shelter set up at the South Lawrence East School.Donald and Kelly Frazier brought coffee and doughnuts to the fire scene at 4 a.m.
Party Like Its 1999 -- Or 1950
The important thing isn't how much you spend, in general, but the small touches you pull off to keep the theme going. Start with the invitations. Say you're throwing a '50s party. You could cut black posterboard in the shape of 45-RPM records (you young folks will need to Google that) and write the party info on a "label" made out of white paper. Shepard said one big-budget '50s soiree she arranged had all the invitations done as little leather jackets. For a '70s party, you can loot the thrift store for a box of 8-track tapes and either attach your invitations to them or write the invites straight on the cases. Tasty Theme Ideas The food is another place to make your theme work, but here you'll want to pay attention to the presentation, too. American cuisine doesn't have much in the way of specific dishes identified with decades, although you can certainly make some creative connections.
Smoking and sex
John Spangler of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Centre reported to the American Society of Hypertension, last May, that men with high blood pressure who smoke are 26 times more likely to have erectile dysfunction, better known as impotence. Smoking also has a fatal effect on both sexual and reproductive health. It does not only affects the reproductive capability of women, but it also causes cancer and other fatal diseases in children by causing mutations in genes and chromosomes. Dr. McGill also pointed out that smoking is more likely to affect older men because younger men have a higher testosterone level, so they tend to over compensate for their cardiovascular problem than older men. However, he said that over time, they, too, will be affected. Lower sex drive He said that the more you smoke, the less your sex drive.
